We have had a few people ask about how we have the time to eat healthy. One way is refrigeration preparation and another is making 10-20 servings at one time (making mass servings will be made soon).
First you need a salad spinner to spin the water off the freshly washed veggies. This is a great cheap version we got at WalMart for about $10. Online there are complaints that it doesn't last long, but we haven't had an issue even after a lot of daily use for a year. We weren't gentle with it either. We always have a backup, and sometimes use two at a time.
Second you will need some cheap plastic bins and paper towels. The paper towel keeps the produce from touching the plastic, keeps it fresh, and makes cleanup a snap (see above).
This is what our refrigerator looks like a few minutes after coming home from the grocery store. Where is the parsley? What about the chives? We have no idea either.
This is what our refrigerator looks like an hour after coming home from the grocery store. If you want a salad everything is pre-washed and you just pull out a bin... super easy.
We had enough room to add 5 pounds of carrots too.
Ahh... we found the parsley and chives!
Now go clean up your refrigerator and eat more vegetables.
